visually the "love is in the air" photo struck me through its good composition and its odd location. The "prohibited" sign also in the photo gave me the initial perception that love was prohibited, giving the photo more of a somber touch. technically the photo has good composition and has the nice touch of an oddity because of the hearts and how they are positioned.
The bright colors of this set create a cheerful atmosphere that nicely reflects Portland life. There are some shots in here that could be composed better, such as the walkway in front of the high school. I think your strongest photos in this set are the first photo, the ones at the waterfront, and of the tree branch at the end.
